Sleiman on Eve of Resistance Day: Israel Scared of Our Strength

Ten years have passed on the victory day…

Ten years have passed on the Resistance and Liberation Day, the day that opened a new page in the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict, the day in which Lebanon emerged as victorious and Israel defeated, the day that paves the way for a shining future in the possibility of returning all Arab rights…

Ten years have passed and Lebanon is becoming stronger and stronger after all Lebanese perceived the value of sovereignty, independence and freedom, after all Lebanese appraised the Resistance, its role and sacrifices…

On the eve of the tenth anniversary of the Resistance and Liberation Day, Lebanese President Michel Sleiman spoke in an exclusive interview with Al-Manar in which he congratulated all Lebanese on the achievement, on the dream which turned to be true ten years ago when Resistance heroes expelled the Israeli occupation from the Lebanese land, making every Lebanese proud of his Resistance…

In the glorious occasion, President Sleiman congratulated the Resistance, the noble fighters, the Lebanese Army soldiers and the Lebanese nation from all sects and classes.

Sleiman recalled the shining memories he witnessed ten years ago when he was the Army Commander and renewed commitment to the balance of Lebanon's nation, army and resistance, a balance able of safeguarding Lebanon and protecting its land.

According to the President, the Israeli enemy will have to think hundred times before attacking Lebanon. Furthermore, the President is certain that Israel will reconsider its decision to launch an assault against Lebanon more than one thousand times because of the deterrence force that Lebanon is enjoying nowadays.

The victory can't hide the continuous occupation of some Lebanese territory. In this context, President Sleiman stressed that Lebanon holds its right to liberate all occupied land through all legal and possible means.

Sleiman also denied claims about efforts to internationalize borders between Lebanon and Syria, saying that plans to deploy international forces at the Lebanese-Syrian borders are not set forth under any pretext.

He concluded by emphasizing his belief of the national defense strategy based on the harmony of national capabilities residing within the Nation, the Army and the Resistance…
